Built For Chaos and this website are published by Authentic Mess Studios, LLC. By using builtforchaosbook.com and the tools on it, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the site. We can change these terms, and using the site after a change means you accept the new version.
What this site is
This site offers the book Built For Chaos, written articles, free email resources, and four free browser tools: Task Breaker, THREE-PILE SYSTEM, Crisis Protocol, and Dopamine Menu.
This site isn’t a medical device, a medical service, or a healthcare application. The medical disclaimer is part of these terms.
Free tools, no account
The tools are free and don’t need an account. You must be at least 13 to use the site. If you’re under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian agrees.
What you type stays yours
What you type into the tools is saved in your own browser. If you turn on optional sync, your browser encrypts it before it leaves your device, and we can’t read it. The privacy page explains how sync works. We claim no license over anything you type.
Don’t use the site to submit anything unlawful, to try to get unauthorized access to it or a related system, to disrupt it, or to scrape or automate against it at a volume that slows it down for other people.
Data loss
Without sync, your tool data lives only in your browser, so it can be lost. Clearing your browsing data, switching devices, private browsing, or a browser update can each remove it. We can’t recover data we never had.
Purchases
Book purchases go through Amazon and other retailers, and digital purchases go through Payhip. Their own terms apply at checkout. See delivery and refunds.
Intellectual property
The site’s design, code, and written content, the book, and the Built For Chaos, Authentic Mess Studios, and THREE-PILE SYSTEM names belong to Authentic Mess Studios, LLC. Human AF and the other methods published here are ours. Don’t copy, redistribute, or resell them without written permission. You’re welcome to use the tools yourself and to link to any page.
Links to other sites
The site links to other sites, including Amazon and Payhip. We aren’t responsible for their content, terms, or practices.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that anything it produces is accurate or suitable for your situation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Authentic Mess Studios, LLC isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the free tools and content on this site.
